Hackensack University Medical Center Names New Atrium in Honor of United Water Executive Joseph Simunovich Simunovich donation facilitates opening of new Imaging Center HARRINGTON PARK, NJ, March 7, 2001-- The Hackensack University Medical Center dedicated the Joseph and Pam Simunovich Atrium as part of its new Imaging Center recently. The center encompasses 8,000 square feet and consolidates the most advanced CAT scanners and MRIs available in one setting. The atrium was dedicated during a private ceremony that was attended by several prominent politicians including: U.S. Senator Robert Torricelli, U.S. Congressman Robert Menendez, Hackensack Mayor John Zisa, and Bergen County Executive William Pat Schuber. Senator Torricelli spoke of the Simunovichs generosity by saying, In our society, when you want to see good deeds done, more and more you go back to the same people. We are all extremely proud of you. Addressing the gathering, Simunovich said, I have learned over many years that no matter how large or small our circle of influence, we can make a difference and contribute in a meaningful way to the lives of others. You have all helped me grow to realize that success is not measured by what we have, but by what we have given. In addition to his role as Vice Chairman-Board of Directors, United Water New Jersey, Simunovich is First Vice Chairman of the medical centers Board of Governors. He also serves on the medical centers Foundation board as well.
