For more than a decade United Water has been improving wastewater collection and treatment services for the City of Indianapolis and surrounding communities. Among its many responsibilities, the company operates and maintains the two advanced wastewater treatment facilities which have a combined average daily flow of 193 million gallons per day. United Water Indianapolis project profile United Water is excited to embark upon its 15th consecutive year as a partner with Arlington High School. This summer, through the Adopt-A-School Program, United Water is accepting 15-20 Arlington High School sophomores, juniors and seniors who are at least 16 years of age. If you are interested in becoming an intern during our eight week internship program please fill out the application below and turn in appropriately. This program is highly competitive so please note all special instructions. Adopt-A-School internship application Connections Newsletter on the internship program The Community Relations/Environmental Grant Program (CREG) was established through the United Water and City of Indianapolis partnership in 1994. Since then, the fund has donated more than $2.5 million in the community. The mission of the CREG is to fund projects and programs that will assist community and economic development in the City of Indianapolis. To be considered for a grant, organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Grant applications are currently closed. Look for 2009 opportunities in the Fall. 2008 Grants and Sponsorship Commitments Past Grant and Sponsorship Recipients United Water Services, in partnership with the City of Indianapolis and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), has established a Green Infrastructure Grant Program. It will provide $400,000.00 in funding over the next four years for building and infrastructure improvement projects that reduce energy consumption and limit negative impact on the environment.
